So She Dreamed depicts the constant struggle to find hope despite everything and anything that works against it. To continue to hope is a precious and difficult feat; the path is thorny and filled with many prolonged moments in low places with unanswered prayers. Within the scope of this piece, the timbral and textural variety is meant to represent some of these moments, moving toward an unresolved gesture in the vibraphone in the penultimate measure before the piece finally culminates with one last percussive ring.
