Fall '26| Dead Fires Anthology - Album Release
Fall 2026, TBA
"[To be recorded in July], the Dead Fires Anthology is a zine comprised of solo unaccompanied/self-accompanied works for voice composed during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic [by Drew Swatosh (they/them)]. Each piece was composed for a specific singer. [Drew chose] to name this zine after [their] setting of Jesse Redmon Fauset’s Dead Fires because of the depth of both that collaboration and how many of us had a fire in our belly at the beginning of 2020 that turned to embers, much like dead fires. There [are] 8 songs in total, which include texts by [Drew Swatosh], Carolyn Quick, and Jesse Redmon Fauset."
